The most relevant road and travel conditions for 11 western states are at your fingertips on your mobile device with the new, mobile-optimized website. View current road and weather conditions via CCTV cameras, note incidents and chain controls, and read posted CMS messages. Current and forecast weather is also available via links to the National Weather Service.

When OSS Mobile was first released, Caltrans District 2 posted an announcement on their Facebook page (11-22-2016, 11:46 AM). Later that evening, TV station KRCR out of Redding/Chico mentioned the OSS Mobile website. You can watch the TV coverage here:

This week, Montana State University published a news article with the headline MSU’s Western Transportation Institute releases mobile version of its popular real-time traffic tool. You can also download the article here.

The One-Stop-Shop project’s Principal Investigator, Doug Galarus, was also interviewed by the Northern News Network and the segment aired on the radio yesterday. You can download the audio file (mp3) and listen to the comments here.

The project team welcomes your feedback on OSS Mobile. Please send any comments or questions to Doug Galarus: dgalarus “at” montana.edu.

Of course, the One-Stop-Shop is not intended for use by drivers while driving. Please use it when planning trips or when safely stopped at rest areas, etc. during a trip. Or, have your passengers use OSS Mobile to monitor conditions while on the road!
